Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE

Removal





1. Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from battery.

CAUTION: Work must be started after 90 seconds from the time the Ignition switch Is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.

2. Remove right side engine under cover.





3. Remove right side fender apron seal.





4. Disconnect engine wire. Remove the 3 nuts and disconnect the engine wire.





5. Remove Crankshaft Position Sensor.
- Remove the bolt and remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
- Disconnect the Crankshaft Position Sensor connector.

Installation

1. Install Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Torque: 8 Nm (69 in lb)

2. Connect engine wire.
3. Install right side fender apron seal.
4. Install right side engine under cover.
5. Connect negative (-) terminal cable to battery.
