Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands.
2. Check that the Three Way Catalytic Convertor is cool.
3. Remove the four bolts and nuts holding the Three Way Catalytic Convertor.
4. Remove the Three Way Catalytic Convertor and two gaskets.

Installation

1. Place two new gaskets on the front and rear pipes.
2. Install the Three Way Catalytic Convertor with the bolts and nuts and secure.

Torque: 56 Nm (41 ft lb)

3. Start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
4. Remove the safety stands and lower vehicle.
