Brake Warning Indicator: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR






(a) Remove the 2 bolts and protector.






(b) Disconnect the connector from the speed sensor.

NOTE: After disconnecting the connectors, cover the connector on the speed sensor side with tape to prevent water or dust from entering.






(c) Check that there is continuity of pad wear indicator connector. If there is no continuity, replace the pad wear indicator.

(d) Connect the connector to the speed sensor until the clicking sound can be heard. The pad wear circuit is tied to the speed sensor circuit.

(e) Install the protector with the 2 bolts.
