Wiper Motor

Refer to Fig. 13 when testing wiper motor.
1. Inspect wiper motor at low speed as follows:
a. Connect positive lead of battery to terminal 3 and negative lead to terminal 1.
b. Ensure motor operates at low speed. If not, replace motor.
2. Inspect operation at high speed as follows:
a. Connect positive lead of battery to terminal 2 and negative lead to terminal 1.
b. Ensure motor operates at high speed. If not, replace motor.
3. Inspect stopping in park position as follows:
a. Operate motor at low speed, stop motor by disconnecting terminal 3, at any position except the off position.
b. Connect jumper between terminals 3 and 5, then connect battery positive to terminal 6 and negative to terminal 1.
c. Check that motor goes to the Stop position. If not, replace motor.
