Knock Sensor: Testing and Inspection
1.
Remove
knock sensor(s).

Refer to
Service and Repair for removal/installation procedures.
2.
Inspect
knock sensors and contact surface of the sensor boss.

Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between terminal and body.

If there is continuity, replace the sensor.

If there is corrosion on the surface, clean up it to ensure better contact with the engine.
