Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

IAC VALVE REMOVAL

1. Drain Engine Coolant.

2. Remove V-bank Cover.

3. Remove Intake Air Connector.

4. Remove No.3 Timing Belt Cover.

5. Remove Lower High-tension Cord Cover.

6. Remove IAC Valve





- Disconnect these hoses and connector from the IAC valve:
(1) Water bypass hose from throttle body
(2) Water bypass hose from water inlet housing
(3) Water bypass hose from EGR valve
(4) IAC valve connector





- Remove the 2 nuts, IAC valve and gasket.
Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lb.)
INSTALLATION HINT: Install the IAC valve with a new gasket.
