Impact Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Front Air Bag Sensors
1. Replace all front air bag sensors that have been involved in a collision with air bag deployment.
2. Install front sensor with arrow mark facing toward front of vehicle.
3. Air bag front sensor attaching bolts have been treated with antirust compound. These must be replaced when sensor is removed.
4. Front sensor is equipped with an electrical connection check mechanism. Ensure this mechanism is securely locked when connecting electrical connector. Otherwise, diagnosis system will detect a DTC.
