Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection


HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS (BANK 1 SENSOR 1, 2) INSPECTION

1. Inspect heater resistance of heated oxygen sensors
(BANK 1, SENSOR 1, 2)
(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.

Bank 1 Sensor 1:




Bank 1 Sensor 2:





(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals +B and HT.

Resistance: At 20°C(68°F) 11 - 16 ohms.

If resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
(c) Reconnect the sensor connector.
2. Inspect operation of heated oxygen sensors
(BANK 1, SENSOR 1, 2)
