TWC (Front) Replacement

Front Catalytic Converter:
1. REMOVE FRONT CATALYTIC CONVERTER
(WITH NO.2 FRONT EXHAUST PIPE)
- Check that the converter is cool.





- Remove the 2 bolts and nuts holding the catalytic converters to the front exhaust pipe.
- Remove the 2 bolts and pipe support bracket from the transmission.
- Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter, and remove the gasket.
- Remove the 4 nuts holding the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifolds.





2. REINSTALL FRONT CATALYTIC CONVERTER (WITH NO.2 FRONT EXHAUST PIPE)
- Install 2 new gaskets and the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifolds with 4 new nuts.

Torque: 62 N.m (630 kgf.cm, 46 ft.lb.)

- Install the pipe support bracket to the transmission with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lb.)

- Install a new gasket to front end of the front exhaust pipe, and torque the front exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter.

Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lb.)
