The spark plug electrode gap specification has been changed. Use this information when replacing spark plugs at specified service intervals. Part numbers and inspection method are provided:




SPARK PLUG INSPECTION:

Inspect electrode gap

Used Spark Plug:
Maximum electrode gap: 1.3 mm (0.051 in.). If the gap is greater than maximum, replace the spark plug.

New Spark Plug:
Correct electrode gap: 1.1 mm (0.043 in.). If adjusting the gap, bend only the base of the ground electrode.
