Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

WATER VALVE REMOVAL





1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

INSTALLATION HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.

2. REMOVE WATER VALVE
a. Disconnect the control cable.

INSTALLATION HINT: For installing the control cable, refer to CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT".
Adjustments








b. Disconnect the water hose from the water valve.
c. Remove the 2 mounting bolts.
d. Disconnect the water hose from heater radiator pipe and remove the water valve.

INSTALLATION HINT:
^ Push the water hose from the engine onto the pipe until the pipe's markings are hidden.
^ Push the water hose for the heater radiator pipe onto the heater radiator pipe until the pipe is completely hidden.
^ Install the hose clip in a position. as shown in the illustration.

WATER VALVE INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
