Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT1. Remove front exhaust pipe.
2. Remove RH side heat insulator.
3. Disconnect park/neutral position switch connector.
4. Remove park/neutral position switch.
a. Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever.
b. Pry off the lock washer and remove the nut.
c. Remove the bolt and pull out the park/neutral position switch.
5. Install and adjust park/neutral position switch.
a. Loosen the park/neutral position switch bolt and set the shift lever to the N position.
b. Align the groove and neutral basic line.
c. Hold in position and tighten the bolt.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
6. Connect park/neutral position switch connector.
7. Install RH side heat insulator.
8. Install front exhaust pipe.
