Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

COMPONENTS

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR
Remove the 3 bolts and sensor protector.
3. DISCONNECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR BRACKET AND CONNECTOR
4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and position sensor.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
Install the position sensor with the bolt and 2 nuts.

Torque:
Bolt: 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
Nut: 9 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 78 in.lbf)

2. CONNECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR BRACKET AND CONNECTOR
3. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR
Install the sensor protector with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
