INSPECTION OF PAD LINING THICKNESS (INSTALLED)

1. Remove front wheel.

2. Check the pad thickness through the caliper inspection hole and replace pads if not within specifications, or if the pads have severe, uneven wear.

^ Standard thickness: 11.0 mm (0.433 inch)
^ Minimum thickness: 1.0 mm (0.039 inch)

INSPECTION OF PAD LINING THICKNESS (REMOVED)

1. Using a ruler, measure the pad lining thickness.
^ Standard thickness: 11.0 mm (0.433 inch)
^ Minimum thickness: 1.0 mm (0.039 inch)
2. Replace the pad if the pad's thickness is at the minimum or less, or if the pad has severe, uneven wear.
