Bushing Replacement

REMOVAL






Using rod bushing remover replacer Special Service Tool (SST) No. 09222-30010 and a press, press out the bushing.

INSTALLATION






1. Align the oil holes of a new bushing and the connecting rod.
2. Using SST rod bushing remover replacer and a press, press in the bushing.






3. Using a pin hole grinder, hone the bushing to obtain the standard specified clearance between the bushing and piston pin.
4. With components at normal room temperature, coat the piston pin with engine oil, and push it into the connecting rod with your thumb.
