Introduction
Early production 1998 LS 400 Navigation Display units may have spacers on the mounting brackets, (P/N 86211-50030 = Rand P/N 86212-50030 = L) that are not needed for replacement units.

Affected Vehicles
1998 LS 400s produced before VIN JT8BH28F*W103512.

Repair Procedure
When replacing the Navigation Display unit, remove the spacer located at the bottom of each bracket. The two spacers are fixed by a double sided tape and should be removed by using a screwdriver or a scraper tool. The spacer locations are shown in the diagram:
