Jam Protection Limit Switch Circuit

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Jam protection limit switch is built-in the power window motor. This switch functions to turn "OFF" before the top dead center, and ECU reads this "OFF" signal resulting in closing the window fully.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT: In case of using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from step 2.



Resetting method of the motor for jam protection.
^ When cutting the motor away from the regulator or racing the motor, make sure to reset the motor
^ This is operation to set limit switch at "OFF".
^ Connect the motor to the vehicle side harness.
^ Rotate the motor to the rising direction for 4 - 5 secs.

HINT: Rotating the motor for 4 - 5 secs. sets the limit switch at "OFF". (Top dead center of the door glass.)
