Programming and Relearning

After the repair is completed, initializing involves setting the mix film and mode control film to initial position. This requires that each film is completely rewound the air mix film to the cool side, the mode control film to the FACE side.
This position is then memorized by the A/C control assembly as the standard position.

Initializing Procedure
(Automatic initializing)
Occurs when:
- The battery is connected and the ignition switch is first turned from OFF to ON.
- From the above condition the ignition switch is turned from ON to OFF.
- The A/C control assembly has detected battery voltage reduction 30 times, and 60 secs. has elapsed since the ignition switch was turned from ON to OFF.

(Compulsory initializing)




- Occurs when the rear defroster switch and OFF switch in the A/C control panel are being pushed while the ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.






HINT: The front defroster indicator lights up during initializing, regardless of whether it is automatic or compulsory initialization.
