Rear Seat (LH)
DISASSEMBLY1. REMOVE HEADREST
2. REMOVE RECLINING COVER PROTECTORS
Using a screwdriver, remove the reclining cover protectors.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion assembly.
4. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover with pad from the seatback frame.
b. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.
5. REMOVE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 screws and reclining covers.
b. Disconnect the seat lock control cable.
c. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.
6. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the seatback board.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover, then remove the 2 seat lock control lever set screws.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
d. Disconnect the seat lock control cable from the lever.
e. Remove the headrest supports.
f. Disengage the seatback cover hooks and remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.
g. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.
h. Remove the screw and disconnect the seat lock control cable.
7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
Remove the 2 screws and rear seat cushion shield.
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER CUSHION COVER
Remove a screw and rear seat inner cushion cover.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT
Remove the bolt and rear seat inner belt.
10. REMOVE SLIDING HANDLE
11. REMOVE RECLINING CONNECTING PIPE
REASSEMBLY
1. INSTALL RECLINING CONNECTING PIPE
a. Adjust the reclining lock positions of the seat adjusters.
b. Slide the seat adjusters to the front most position.
c. Place the adjusters on a spacer to adjust the seat rails in parallel and install the connecting pipe.
HINT: When installing the connecting pipe with raising up the adjusters, the lock positions adjusted in 1-(a) step slip off, then lock error will occur.
2. INSTALL SLIDING HANDLE
3. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT
Install the rear seat inner belt with the bolt.
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER CUSHION COVER
Install the rear seat inner cushion cover with the screw.
5. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
Install the rear seat cushion shield with the 2 screws.
6. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER
a. Install the seat lock control cable with the screw.
b. Install the seatback cover with the new hog rings to the seatback pad.
HINT: When installing hog ring, take care to prevent wrinkles as much as possible.
c. Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback frame and engage the seatback cover hooks.
d. Install the headrest supports.
e. Connect the seat control cable to the seatback lock control lever.
f. Install the seat lock control lever with the 2 screws, then install the cover.
g. Install the seatback board with the 2 screws.
7. INSTALL SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seatback assembly with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 55 N.m (561 kgf.cm, 41 ft.lbf)
b. Connect the seat lock control cable.
c. Install the reclining covers with the 2 screws.
8. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Install the seat cushion cover with the new hog rings to the seat cushion pad.
b. Install the seat cushion cover with pad to the seatback frame with the new hog rings.
HINT: When installing hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as much as possible.
9. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
Install the seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque:
Upper bolt: 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
Lower bolt: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
