The following procedures were developed to help eliminate potential rattle noise from the Glove Compartment Area.

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty Is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.









Repair Procedure / Lower finish Panel
To help eliminate potential rattle noise due Procedure to the excess clearance between the Glove Lower Finish Compartment Hinge Shaft and the Hinge Hole on the passenger's side Lower Finish Panel, fit two pieces of felt (size is indicated below) from the Interior Noise kit (P/N 08231-00801) to the two hinge holes as shown.





Repair Procedure / Glove Compartment Door
To help eliminate lateral direction movement of the Glove Compartment Door, fit two pieces of felt (size (1) L: 14 mm, W: 12 mm, and T: 2 mm and (2) L: 16 mm, W: 12 mm, and T: 2 mm) from the Interior Noise kit (P/N 08231-00801) to the protrusion on both sides of the Glove Compartment Door as shown.

NOTE:
The felt pieces should not be visible when the Glove Compartment Door is closed.
