Introduction
A production change has been made to prevent rattle noise caused by interference between the high pressure & low pressure A/C lines. Noise can be heard in the passenger compartment when the compressor cycles "OFF".

Affected Vehicles
^ 1999 RX 300s with VINs starting before: JT6GF10U#X0018200, JT6HF10U#X0037100









Repair Procedure
If a customer complains of rattle noise coming from the engine compartment, confirm that the liquid tube and the suction tube are touching. install foam (L: 50 mm, W: 50 mm, T: 3 mm) on the Liquid tube (as shown) to isolate the tubes.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
