Introduction

Owners of some 1998 - 2000 model year LS 400 CS 400 and CS 300 vehicles equipped with the Lexus navigation system may notice that the air conditioning system temperature display is blank on some occasions when starting up the car. In addition, the other climate control indicators will not illuminate, though the climate control system will operate properly. A logic change to the microprocessor in the multi-display unit corrects this condition.

Applicable Vehicles
^ 1998 - 2000 model year LS 400 vehicles equipped with navigation system.
^ 1998 - 2000 model year GS 400/300 vehicles equipped with navigation system.

Repair Procedure

Order a replacement multi-display through the exchange program of Fujitsu-Ten by calling 1-800-237-5413. All current Fujitsu-Ten exchange units include the new logic.





Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

*Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
