Global Positioning System: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENTHINT: The installation is in the reverse order of the removal. However, when there is a special point concerning the installation, it is indicated.
1. REMOVE REAR NO.1 SEAT LH
2. REMOVE REAR NO.1 SEAT RH
3. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE INSIDE LH
4. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE INNER RH
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
7. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR MAT FRONT
a. Remove the 3 screws and seat anchor rails.
b. Remove the front floor mat.
8. REMOVE MAYDAY ASSY
a. Disengage the 9 clips and 5 claws and remove the mobile phone cover.
b. Disengage the 4 claws.
c. Disconnect the 6 connectors and clamp, as shown in the illustration.
NOTE: Be sure not to disconnect connector A.
d. Remove the 6 nuts and mayday assy.
9. REMOVE BUS BUFFER ECU
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 screws and bus buffer ECU.
10. REMOVE MAYDAY ECU ASSY
a. Remove the screw from the telephone transceiver assy.
b. Remove the 3 screws.
c. Disconnect the connectors and clamps, as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:
- The mayday ECU assy should be replaced together with the telephone transceiver assy.
- Be sure not to disconnect connector A.
11. REMOVE MOBILE PHONE BRACKET
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the mobile phone bracket.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
12. REMOVE TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSY
a. Remove the 3 screws and telephone transceiver assy.
NOTE: The telephone transceiver assy should be replaced together with the mayday ECU assy.
13. REMOVE PORTABLE PHONE-L BATTERY
a. Remove the 2 screws and portable phone-L battery.
