Some vehicles may experience a condition where the running board (rocker panel moulding) clips become loose. New running board (rocker panel moulding) clips have been developed to correct this condition.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2004 model year GX 470 vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

Repair Manual: Section: Exterior/Interior Trim; Subsection: Side
Step: Replacement.
1. Remove running board (rocker panel molding) clips.
a) Using a screwdriver, remove the 10 clips at the location shown in the illustration.
NOTE:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. Replace old style running board (rocker panel molding) clips with new style.
3. Reinstallation is reverse of removal.
4. Perform procedure on opposite side of vehicle.
