POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEMINSPECTION
1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the motor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the resistance of the position switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
c. Check the resistance of the door lock and unlock switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
a. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the motor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the resistance of the position switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
a. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the motor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the resistance of the position switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
4. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
a. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the motor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the resistance of the position switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
5. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (W/O CLOSER)
a. Check operation of the door lock.
1. Using a screwdriver, push the latch in order to put the back door lock in the locked condition (full latch position).
2. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the latch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the resistance of the back door courtesy switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
6. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (W/ CLOSER)
a. Check operation of the door lock.
1. Using a screwdriver, push the latch in order to put the back door lock in the locked condition (full-latch position).
2. Apply battery voltage to the door lock and check operation of the latch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
3. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the motor.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
b. Check the resistance of the back door courtesy switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
c. Check the resistance of the back door full-latch switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
d. Check the resistance of the back door half-latch switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
e. Check the resistance of the position switch.
1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to connector terminal 7 and the negative (-) lead to connector terminal 5.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
2. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to connector terminal 5 and the negative (-) lead to connector terminal 7.
If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
7. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Check the door control switch.
8. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
a. Check the resistance of the door control switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
b. Apply battery voltage to the door control switch and check that the switch illuminates.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
