Introduction





The front brake rotors have been changed to help reduce a high pitch brake squeal during light brake application when the brakes are cold.

Applicable Vehicles
^ 2005 model year RX 330 (TMK) vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown in this TSB.

^ 2006 model year RX 400h vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown in this TSB.





Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

1. Confirm the front squeal condition during light brake application when the brakes are cold.

2. Inspect front brake pads and shims, and replace, if needed.

3. Remove the front brake rotors following the instructions on the Technical Information System (TIS), 2005 model year RX 330 Repair Manual: Brake: Front Brake: Disassembly or 2006 model year RX 400h Repair Manual: Brake: Front Brake: Disassembly

4. Replace the front brake rotors following the instructions on TIS, 2005 model year RX 330 Repair Manual: Brake: Front Brake: Reassembly Installation or 2006 model year RX 400h Repair Manual: Brake: Front Brake: Reassembly Installation.

5. Road test the vehicle.
