Steering Control ECU

STEERING CONTROL ECU

COMPONENTS:





REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO. 2
3. REMOVE STEERING CONTROL ECU





a. Disconnect the 3 connectors form the steering control ECU.





b. Remove the 3 screws and the steering control ECU.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU





a. Install the steering control ECU with the 3 screws.

HINT:
^ Align positioning boss (A) of the blower assembly with the hole of the steering control ECU.
^ Securely engage the hook (B) of the steering control ECU with the blower assembly.





b. Connect the 3 connectors to the steering control ECU.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUBASSEMBLY NO. 2
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

5. PERFORM VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM CALIBRATION
