Ambient Light Sensor: Testing and Inspection

AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR




a. Disconnect the K1 sensor connector.
b. Connect the voltmeter's positive (+) lead to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3.




c. Measure the voltage of the connector.




d. Measure the resistance of the connector.
e. Reconnect the K1 sensor connector.







f. Check the waveform of the K1 sensor connector.

HINT: If the ambient light becomes brighter, width A becomes narrower.

If the result is not as specified, replace the automatic light control sensor.
