Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL




a. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Push the intelligent tester main switch ON.
d. Select the following menus: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST / ACCEL POS #1, ACCEL POS #2.
e. When depressing and releasing the accelerator pedal, check that the values of the accelerator POS No. 1 and POS No. 2 are within the specification.




If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness or ECM.
