Headlamp Alignment Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR




a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the nut and separate the height control sensor link.




c. 2WD:
1. Remove the 2 bolts and the height control sensor.




d. 4WD:
1. Remove the 2 bolts and the height control sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR




a. 2WD:
1. Install the height control sensor with the 2 bolts.




b. 4WD:
1. Install the height control sensor with the 2 bolts.




c. Install the height control sensor link with the nut.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

d. Connect the connector.

2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
4. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM
5. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM (Using a tester)
a. Using a tester:
1. Preparation for headlight aim.

6. PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM (Using a screen)
a. Using a screen:
1. Preparation for headlight aim.

7. HEADLIGHT AIMING INSPECTION
8. HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT
