MULTI-DISPLAY (CENTER DISPLAY)

REPLACEMENT

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
3. w/ LEXUS Navigation System:
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. w/ LEXUS Navigation System:
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2




5. w/ LEXUS Navigation System:
REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY CENTER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
b. Disconnect the connector. Then remove the multi-display (center display) (with panel) and clip.

6. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY (CENTER DISPLAY)




a. Remove the 4 screws at the both sides of the instrument panel finish upper panel.




b. Remove the 6 screws and instrument panel finish panel No. 1 retainer.




c. Remove the 5 screws and instrument panel finish panel No. 2 retainer.
d. Remove the instrument cluster finish center lower panel.




e. Remove the 2 screws.




f. Remove the 2 screws and wiring harness clamp.
g. Disconnect the 4 connectors, then remove the clamp.
h. Remove the multi-display.

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Programming and Relearning

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

9. CHECK SRS WARNING LAMP
