Introduction

The head restraint height of the driver's seat is automatically adjusted according to the driver's seat position. This head restraint height has been set to the default position at the assembly plant so that the head restraint height will be in the upper-most position when the seat is moved to the rear-most position. However, the head restraint position may have been adjusted by manual operation during transit and storage.

Initialize the head restraint during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) to ensure that it is set to the default position.

Applicable Vehicles

^ 2007 model year GS 350 and GS 430 vehicles.

Initialization Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.





2. Manually set the head restraint upward to the highest position.





3. Move the seat backward to the most rear position until the seat motor stops.

4. Move the driver's seat forward and check that the head restraint is moved downward according to the driver's seat position.
