Power Steering ECU

POWER STEERING ECU

COMPONENTS:





REMOVAL
1. REMOVE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the inverter with converter.





2. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the ground cable terminal.





(b) Release the locks of the 2 power steering ECU assembly connectors and disconnect the connectors.
(c) Remove the power steering ECU.

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU
(a) Connect the 2 power steering ECU connectors and securely lock the connectors.





(b) Install the power steering ECU to the battery tray with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
(c) Install the ground cable terminal with bolt (A).
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
(d) Install the No. 1 battery tray support.
2. INSTALL INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the inverter with converter.
3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

4. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
(a) Initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate torque sensor zero point.
