Auxiliary Step / Running Board: Service and Repair

SIDE STEP

Side Step:





REMOVAL

HINT: On the RH side, use the same procedures as on the LH side.





1. REMOVE SIDE DOOR STEP PLATE COVER FRONT LH
a. Remove the 6 bolts, 13 clips and step sub-assembly.
b. Disconnect the step light wiring connector.





2. REMOVE SIDE STEP BRACKET
a. Remove the 6 bolts and bracket.





3. REMOVE STEP PLATE LH
a. Disengage the 15 clips and remove the step plate from the cover.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STEP PLATE LH
2. INSTALL SIDE STEP BRACKET
a. Install the 3 brackets with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

3. INSTALL SIDE DOOR STEP PLATE COVER FRONT LH
a. Install the step sub-assembly with the 6 bolts and 13 clips.
b. Connect the step light wiring connector.

Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
