Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION




1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL
a. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
b. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
c. Turn the intelligent tester main switch ON.
d. Select the given menus: DIAGNOSIS / ENHANCED OBD II / DATA LIST / ACCEL POS #1, ACCEL POS #2.




e. When depressing or releasing the accelerator pedal, check that the values of the accelerator POS No. 1 and accelerator POS No. 2 are within the specification.Accelerator POS No. 1 standard voltage.

If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness or ECM.
