Ambient Light Sensor: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION




1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
a. Disconnect the K1 sensor connector.
b. Connect the voltmeter's positive (+) lead to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3.




c. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table given.




d. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table given.
e. Reconnect the K1 sensor connector.







f. Check the waveform of the K1 sensor connector.

HINT:
If the ambient light becomes brighter, width A becomes narrower.
If the result is not as specified, replace the automatic light control sensor.
