STOP LIGHT SWITCH

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Illumination)
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Illumination)
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
5. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH
6. REMOVE NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
8. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
2. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/o Illumination)
8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Illumination)
9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
