Tire Pressure Module: Service and Repair

TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU (w/ Receiver)

COMPONENTS:





REPLACEMENT
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY





3. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and ECU.
4. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER
(a) Install the ECU with the 2 bolts.
(b) Connect the connector.
5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (for Tire Pressure Warning System)
(a) When the ECU is replaced, perform initialization. Initialization
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization.

NOTICE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
