2GR-FE STARTING: STARTER:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY






(a) Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 Nm (380 kgf-cm, 28 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the wire harness to terminal 30 and install the nut. Then, attach the terminal cap.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
(c) Connect the terminal 50 connector to the starter assembly.

3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Installation

10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization procedure Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Some vehicle systems require initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
