Keyless Entry Transmitter: Service and Repair

DOOR LOCK: DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY MODULE SET DOOR CONTROL
NOTICE:
Take extra care when handling these precision electronic components.





(a) Remove the transmitter cover.
(1) Remove the mechanical key.
(2) Insert a precision screwdriver into the gap, and turn the screwdriver to detach the cover.






(b) Remove the battery.
(1) Insert a precision screwdriver into the gap and remove the battery.
2. INSTALL TRANSMITTER SUB-ASSEMBLY MODULE SET DOOR CONTROL






(a) Install the battery.
(1) Install the new battery in the slot at an angle with the positive side facing up.
(2) Press down on the battery to set it in place.
NOTICE:
- Be sure that the positive side and the negative side of the transmitter battery are matched correctly.
- Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode while installing the battery.
- Keep the interior of the transmitter case free of dust, water and oil.





(b) Install the transmitter cover.
(1) Install the cover by pressing down on it as shown in the illustration.
(2) Install the mechanical key.
HINT:
After the installation, press one of the transmitter's switches and check that the LED illuminates.
