Sound Signal Circuit between Multi-display Controller and Navigation Assembly

DESCRIPTION

This is the sound signal circuit from the display and navigation assembly to the multi-display controller.
HINT: Only vehicles with a navigation system (for HDD) have this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)





(a) Disconnect the L62 navigation connector.
(b) Disconnect the R32 controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY





(a) Reconnect the L62 navigation connector.
(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.

NG -- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
