2GR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER GARNISH Removal
3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX PLATE Removal
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Removal
7. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)





(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.
(b) Remove the grommet and pass the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.





(c) Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.

8. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2 2WD)





(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.
(b) Remove the grommet and pass the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.





(c) Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.

9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) Removal
10. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX (for 4WD) Removal
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for 4WD)
(a) Remove the front seat LH Removal.
12. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH (for 4WD)





(a) Remove the 4 nuts, 2 clips and cover.
13. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2 4WD)
(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.





(b) Remove the grommet and pass the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.
(c) Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.
