DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

1. READ DATA LIST
HINT: Using the Data List displayed on the Techstream, you can read the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators, etc. without removing any parts. Reading the Data List as the first step in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobilizer / Data List.
(e) According to the display on tester, read the "Data List".

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST
HINT: Performing the Active Test using the Techstream allows relay, VSV, actuator, etc. to operate without removing any parts. Performing the Active Test as the first step in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Turn the tester on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobilizer / Active test.
