3UZ-FE CHARGING: GENERATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the generator with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Torque: 39 Nm (398 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)
Torque: 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the engine wire bracket with the bolt.
2. INSTALL VANE PUMP PULLEY





(a) Using SST, install the vane pump pulley with the nut.
SST: 09960-10010
Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Installation
4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER Installation
6. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
