C1A23 - Object Recognition Camera Initialization Incomplete
DESCRIPTION
The driving support ECU uses the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, lane recognition camera sensor assembly and driver monitor camera* to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle and the direction that the driver head is facing. Based on this information, the driving support ECU sends pre-collision control operation signals.
If the driving support ECU determines that the lane recognition camera sensor assembly axis has deviated, DTC C1A22 is stored.
Also, if the lane recognition camera sensor assembly beam axis adjustment is not performed after installing the camera sensor, DTC C1A23 is stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. ADJUST LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Adjust the lane recognition camera sensor assembly Adjustments.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.
(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.
OK:
DTCs C1A22 and/or C1A23 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY
OK -- END
3. REPLACE LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Replace the lane recognition camera sensor assembly Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. ADJUST LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Adjust the lane recognition camera sensor assembly Adjustments.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.
(b) Check for DTCs Pre-Collision System.
OK:
DTCs C1A22 and/or C1A23 is not output.
NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal
OK -- END (LANE RECOGNITION CAMERA SENSOR ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
