How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





WINDSHIELD / WINDOW GLASS: POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)*

(a) Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

4. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

(b) Delete the DTC.

(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output in the first step, try to force output of the same DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
