DESCRIPTION

The theft warning ECU monitors vehicle speed signals transmitted from the meter ECU, and it will drive each door lock motor when any of the doors is in the unlocked state with the vehicle speed at approximately 20 km/h (13 mph).

INSEPCTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK SPEEDOMETER FUNCTION

(a) Check that the speedometer operates properly.

OK:

Speedometer operates properly.

NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DOOR LOCK FUNCTION

(a) Check that the door lock operates normally.

OK:

Door lock operates normally.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK THAT DOOR LOCK FUNCTIONS OTHER THAN AUTOMATIC LOCK FUNCTION BY VEHICLE SPEED OPERATE PROPERLY
