Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

3UZ-FE INTAKE: VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for ACIS)

(a) Measure the resistance of the VSV.





Standard resistance:





(a) If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.

(b) Check the VSV operation.

(1) Check that air flows from port E to the filter.





(1) If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.

(2) Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

(3) Check that air flows from port E to F.





(3) If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.
