2AZ-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine) Service and Repair

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

(a) Remove the front wiper motor and link Removal.

4. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE RH Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL Removal

6. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH Removal

7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

11. SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 ground cables.





(b) Disconnect the 4 connectors.

(c) Disconnect the connector clamp from the bracket.

12. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Using SST, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket.
