STEERING COLUMN: MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU: REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.

1. REMOVE STEERING PAD

Refer to the instructions for Removal of the steering pad Removal.

2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

4. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

5. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

HINT
Refer to the instructions for Removal of the driver side knee airbag assembly Removal.

6. REMOVE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.





(b) Disengage the wire harness clamp from the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.

(c) Remove the nut and the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU from the steering column assembly.
